10 Gifts That Give Back To Wildlife And The Environment

In Volunteering, Blog, Wildlife, Interests by ajauntwithjoy@gmail.com20 Comments

The holiday season is officially upon us! It’s always so stressful trying to scramble for last-minute gifts. Let alone finding the time and the funds to make it all happen! You constantly ask yourself “Will they like my gift?”, “Is this a good deal?”, “What if they never use it?”.

Take a bit of stress out of your holiday shopping routine this year by giving gifts you can feel good about. Every one of these 10 items gives back to wildlife or the environment! Your friends and family will love knowing that their gift has helped support an important cause. And raving about it to everyone else will hopefully inspire others to snag that same gift — spreading environmental awareness and conservation of our planet!

1. LUSH Charity Pots

LUSH is known for handmaking fresh, organic, and mostly vegan cosmetics that fight animal testing. On top of all that greatness, they’ve come out with Charity Pots. The Charity Pot is a body lotion you can buy that gives 100% of the purchase price toward animal rights, environmental rights, or humanitarian rights organizations they’ve partnered with! Each pot has a sticker on the lid that tells you what one of their charities is. ( $7.95 − $27.95 )

You can even donate shares of a gift or an animal to be given to a family in need. Other donations you can gift are things like stoves for a village, sending a girl to school, irrigation pumps, etc. Find a Heifer cause you like and donate here! ( $1 and up )

Aren’t they great?! My parents discovered Heifer when my sister and I were kids and every Christmas they let us pick an animal. We thought it was so fun so we’ve both kept the tradition going! :)

  2. Hi Joy – I’m just popping in to say that your posts are awesome and inspirational. I love every one that I read. Also, I really really love your blog design. You’re going far, lady!

Aw Thank you! You just made my day! You’re so sweet! My cousin had a HUGE part in designing and creating my blog layout based on my chicken scratch drawings when I was first getting started. He’ll be so happy to hear all the great feedback!

  3. I love this guide so much I shared it on my facebook page! So good that you’re helping spread messages like this because sometimes it’s hard to know where to start when you want to support a cause.

  4. I love this list! So many thoughtful out-of-the-box ideas! It feels great to give back. Have you checked out Wylder goods? Their mission seems to mirror this post. I’m not at all affiliated with them, just thought you might be interested :).
